Vintage Era (1996-1999)

  1. P1 - Transparent Red Clockface: Japanese. The buttons on this one were swapped from yellow to blue.
    2. a clear red Tamagotchi with a blue clockface design and blue buttons.
  2. P1 - Blue/Yellow Clockface: Japanese.
    3. a light blue Tamagotchi with a yellow clockface design and yellow buttons.
  3. P1 - Blue with Pink Numbers: Japanese. Has a lot of fading and discolouration.
  4. P1 - White with Swirls: Japanese. The buttons on this one were also swapped to a brighter blue.
  5. P1 - Turquoise/Yellow: Japanese. Very good condition.
  6. P1 - Transparent Blue: English release (North America).
  7. P1 - Transparent Green w/ Blue Buttons: English release (North America). This one is basically new and was used only briefly.
  8. P1 - Mauve w/ Swirls: English release (North America). While the front on this one looks okay, unfortunately the back plate is heavily damaged (it came to me second hand with some screw issues). It still functions but does not get played much due to the cosmetic damage.
  9. P1 - Hot Pink w/ Green and Blue: English release (North America). Probably my favourite P1 of the bunch.
  10. P1 - Turquoise w/ Purple and Yellow: English release (as for region, I'm unsure but it could be North America). Taken out of the packaging but not used much so it is also basically new.
  11. P1 - Red/Yellow: English release (also completely unsure of region on this one). A bit discoloured, the actual shell colour is meant to be a bit pinker than mine looks. Came to me heavily used so the condition is not the best.
  12. P1 - Yellow w/ Orange: English release (North America). Rough condition with some shell damage.
  13. P1 - Special Asian Designs (Indonesia): English release (Asia). Limited edition shell, has been opened but remains in excellent condition.
  14. P1 (Rerelease) - Blue Clockface: Japanese. Though they look similar, this is not the same blue clockface shell seen earlier on this page. This is the 2017 rereleased version; this one does run in Japanese unlike later waves of the vintage remakes.
  15. P1 (Rerelease) - White w/ Black: 2017 Japanese remake, same as above.
  16. P1 (Rerelease) - Red Glitter: English release, from the first wave of remake shells released in 2018.
  17. P1 (Rerelease) - Black w/ Flames: English release, from a later wave of remake shells.
  18. P2 - Teal/Yellow: Japanese. From the first wave of Japanese P2s with Pochitchi as second best care adult and Sekitoritchi as secret character.
  19. P2 - White w/ Characters: Japanese. This shell is also from the first wave of Japanese P2s, but mine is a bit of an oddball as it has the programming from the second wave (Nyatchi instead of Pochitchi; Charitchi as the secret character).
  20. P2 - Dark Blue w/ Spaceship: Japanese. This shell is from the second wave of Japanese P2s which means it also has Nyatchi and Charitchi.
  21. P2 - Milky White: Japanese. Second wave shell; same as above.
  22. P2 - Transparent Ice Blue: English release (North America).
  23. P2 - Clear: English release (North America). This one was gotten brand new; I've run it a few times but it remains in very good condition.
  24. P2 - Transparent Hot Pink: English release (North America). Same as above; gotten new but played a few times, remaining in excellent condition.
  25. P2 - Red/White: English release (Asia). This is a Hong Kong release based on a Japanese shell design; the packaging is identical to the Japanese packaging apart from saying "Tamagotchi" rather than "Tamagotch" at the top, and the plastic being molded to fit the keyring rather than the ball chain that the Japanese releases would have. This tamagotchi runs in English.
  26. P2 - White w/ Blue Characters: English release (Asia). This is another Hong Kong release (it is not the same white/blue characters P2 listed earlier on this page), but unlike the previous one, this one does have a ball chain instead of a keyring and the packaging is molded to fit that. This tamagotchi also runs in English.
  27. P2 - Special Asian Designs (India): English release (Asia). Limited edition shell design - this one was repaired by me as it had battery corrosion and some faded screen pixels due to having been sealed for over 20 years. It's in working order now and the shell itself is in excellent condition.
  28. P2 (Rerelease) - Transparent Green w/ Blue Buttons: Japanese. This was from the first wave of Japanese vintage tama remakes, released in 2017. Curiously, I also own this same shell design as an original English P1 (seen earlier on this page).
  29. P2 (Rerelease) - White w/ Pink Characters: English release - 2018 remake.
  30. P2 (Rerelease) - White w/ Green Characters: English release - another 2018 remake.
  31. P2 (Rerelease) - Pink Glitter: English release.
  32. P2 (Rerelease) - Starry Shower: English release. Opened but not used so it is in new condition.
  33. Angel - Blue: Japanese. Back is slightly discoloured as I swapped the back half with another unit due to this one originally having some screw damage.
  34. Angel - Pink: Japanese. Better condition than the blue one.
  35. Angel - White: English release (North America). Slightly discoloured/faded.
  36. Angel - Yellow: English release (North America), the only one of the original four shell colours that did not get a release in Japan. This one's in decent shape but the gold paint on the wings is wearing off.
  37. Angel (Rerelease) - "Angel Sky" : English release (although it was also released in Japan). Opened but not used yet as it is a very new addition to my collection.
