Morino Tamagotchi Logs!
Logs from my most recent Morino run - I wasn't initially going to do full logs for this but this run turned out so much differently than I possibly could've expected so here we are!
May 16th, 2025
Hatched my yellow vines Morino at 12:45AM, using the white egg. Since it was so late at night, it went to sleep immediately after hatching.
Woke up in the morning and had a fairly uneventful day. There were no missed cares or missed attacks this day.
May 17th, 2025
At 12:05PM, Babymotchi evolved into the next stage of life, Imotchi! From here on, I began feeding snacks (second food option) only and limiting the amount of games played to ensure I’d be able to get the weight as high as possible. No missed attacks or missed cares this day. The weight by the end of the day was 24mg!
May 19th, 2025
The growth got slightly delayed due to me needing to pause my Morino quite a bit, but 40mg was attained at the age of 3! I missed one attack this day due to not being quick enough to fend off the predator. I also got one missed care from the happy hearts running all the way out.
May 20th, 2025
Imotchi went into the cocoon at 7:56PM. My initial aim was to go for one of the higher temperature characters, so I primarily kept the temperature on the hot side. At the time of cocooning, Imotchi’s weight was 44mg.
Although I'd intended to keep the cocoon on hot, it must have ended up in the middle more often than I’d been meaning to, and indeed it was in the middle at the time of my tama emerging from the cocoon. Only that can explain what happened next…
May 21st, 2025
At 8PM, my Morino emerged from the cocoon. I had been mostly doing this run blind, so I wasn’t quite sure which character to expect, but I assumed I’d just get one of the standard adults I’ve raised many times in the past. However, that did not turn out to be the case. I glanced over at my tama and had to do a double take because there was not an adult on my screen…
There was another Imotchi!
I remembered that one of the steps to getting the secret character Helmetchi was for the tama to come out of the cocoon as another Imotchi. This was absolutely crazy because I had tried and failed to do this intentionally in the past but now somehow I’d managed it by accident? The only course of action from here was to follow the rest of the method for getting Helmetchi, which can be found in some guides online (the Tamagotchi Wiki is a great resource!), so I played several games and lowered his weight to 30mg. Other than maintaining his weight at 30mg, I pretty much cared for him the way I would normally care for any other character.

From here on, this run was rather uneventful. I maintained Imotchi #2’s weight at 30mg - it never went higher or lower than this. I continued to feed snacks only, although there were one or two occasions where I fed a leaf. There were no missed attacks or missed cares at this point. Due to needing to pause a lot, the growth was quite slow for the next several days after this.

Imotchi #2 entered the cocoon! His weight was still at 30mg at the time of cocooning. This time around, since I was actually on track and not just running blindly, I focused more on keeping the cocoon’s temperature in the middle as much as possible, especially around the time of emerging as this seems to be when the temperature matters most.

At 12:40PM, my Morino emerged from the cocoon, and just like I’d been planning for, he emerged as a Helmetchi!! I still cannot believe I finally managed to get him, and from an accidental run at that! It does seem as though paying close attention to the cocoon temperature and ensuring it always remained near the middle was what finally made this run successful.
Helmetchi has been such a delight to have around. His animations are hilarious! His special food is a mushroom (a magic mushroom perhaps? I wouldn’t put that past him). He’s also a very late sleeper and riser - he goes to bed at 11PM and wakes up at noon!
