My Tamagotchi Collection
Tamagotchi Plus & Tamagotchi Connection Era (2004 - 2014?)
All photos on this page are of my own units!
- Tamagotchi Plus - Light Blue: Japanese release. Rough condition but this was one of the first Japanese tamas I ever owned so it remains sentimental regardless.
- Tamagotchi Plus - Pearly Blue: Japanese release, fairly similar to the previous shell but has a nice pearly finish.
- Tamagotchi Plus - Navy: Japanese release. This shell originally comes with white buttons, but I swapped them out for pink.
- Tamagotchi Plus - "Shakiin": Japanese release, although I have swapped the innards of this one with those of a European Connection V1. I got this one new in package so the shell is pristine otherwise.
- Tamagotchi Plus - GLAY Expo: Japanese release. Special edition; has a special birthday animation and a special marriage partner but otherwise runs identically to any other Plus model.
- Tamagotchi Plus - "Peach Kisses": Hong Kong release. These were released as Tamagotchi Plus and externally they look identical to a Japanese Plus model, but these Hong Kong models run in English, so this is an English Connection model in everything but name.
- Tamagotchi Plus - Black: Hong Kong release, same as above. Looks identical to its Japanese counterpart but runs in English.
- Tamagotchi Connexion - Yellow w/ Arrows: European release; runs in English.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Lavender w/ Circles: North American release; runs in English. This particular tama was part of the very first wave of North American Connection models, which all had a defect causing them to have much shorter battery life than usual (you can know if you have one of these tamas by ROM testing it (press Reset+A+B+C all at the same time) - if it has ROM version 4.0, then it has the battery defect). I only get about a week or two of battery life on this one, so I play it only rarely.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Pink w/ Stars: North American release; just like the previous one, this is from the very first wave with extremely short battery life. The shell is in very good condition but due to the battery issues it rarely gets played.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Orange w/ Bursts: North American release; this one does not have the battery defect and runs very well.
- Tamagotchi Connection - "Green Matrix": North American (?) release. The "?" is due to this shell being built a bit differently than the other North American V1s I own (the logo is larger, the button grooves are wider, the internals are slightly different); It actually looks nearly identical to the Spanish version (which will be seen later on) but it does not run in Spanish, it runs in English. Either this is a North American tama made in a different factory than most of its counterparts, or it is an early Latin American tama with English programming instead of Spanish, but as I got this tama second hand, there is no way to know.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Pink w/ Hearts: North American release. Later production date and ROM version so there is no battery defect - I've played this one a lot!
- Tamagotchi Connection - Magenta w/ Swirls: North American release. Not the greatest physical condition with paint defects; the buttons also had to be swapped out as I got this second hand and its original buttons were damaged. Luckily, it still works well!
- Tamagotchi Connection - Light Blue: North American release. Buttons were swapped from yellow to light blue.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Light Purple: North American release. Background was swapped out. This one is debugged and usually used as a marriage partner for other tamas.
- Tamagotchi Connection - White: North American release. This one is my most run of the V1s as I love the clean look of this shell.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Pearl Dark Pink: North American release. I got this one second hand and it is heavily worn which has made it one of my go-tos for just carrying around and not having to worry about.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Pearl Light Pink: North American release. Buttons were swapped from yellow to white.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Transparent Pink: North American release. This one has also been run by me a lot.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Transparent Orange: North American release. Sister shell to the transparent pink.
- Tamagotchi Connection - Magenta w/ Swirls: Latin American release. This is not the same swirls shell seen earlier on this page - this one runs in Spanish! Lots of really neat little quirks with this one including some animations not seen on other V1 versions.
